Wisdom Marine is set to enter the aframax tanker sector after ordering two newbuildings in Japan at $50m each.
The Taiwanese owner has ordered a pair of 115,000-dwt ships at Japan Marine United (JMU) for delivery in early 2019.
Wisdom has a fleet of 109 ships on the water and a further 24 newbuildings on order at shipyards in Japan.
In March, the company diversify into the gas business by booking a 6,400-cbm LPG carrier at Murakami Hide Shipbuilding for delivery in 2018.
