A record number of large crude cargo stems have come up for export from the Arabian Gulf (AG) region this month, helping push charter rates higher and improve sentiment for November.

VLCC market players put the number of AG cargoes at 178, claiming this is the highest total ever logged for any month to date. They say the haul comes on the back of an equally strong September that saw 168 crude shipments from the Gulf.
