Hanjin Shipping’s tanker division has been left with only a chartered VLCC after redelivering four chemical carriers to their owner.

The Sekwang-built, 20,000-dwt Royal Flos, Royal Natura, Strilen and Ema Querida (all built in 2008) have been returned to Korea Ship Finance (KSF), according to informed sources. Redelivery of the quartet earlier this month is part of Hanjin’s plan to reduce its costs, as the vessels were not making a profit for the company.
