Energy provider Gail (India)’s bid process for a series of up to 11 LNG carriers appears to have collapsed.
Shipowners offering in on the vessels say Gail requested a two-week extension on the validity of their bids until 15 October.
Sources say they were led to expect that if they heard nothing after this date then the business should be considered closed.
