Aker Solutions has won a NOK 350m ($42.9m) contract from Statoil to upgrade the Mongstad terminal to receive oil from the Johan Sverdrup field off Norway.

Aker says the engineering, procurement, construction and installation (EPCI) services are related to pipeline facilities, modifications and tie-ins needed to take in the North Sea production at the terminal, near Bergen.

The Oslo-listed company says the project will employ about 50 people, peaking at close to 100 in mid-2017.
