Its initial report last month concluded that embattled DSME was not viable and, at best, should be largely liquidated or merged with another yard. McKinsey suggested closing DSME’s offshore division, spinning off its naval work and slashing commercial activities by half.
According to local reports, the study shows that DSME could hardly sustain its future business operations based on the performance of the yard over the past five years.
