The Hamburg-based heavylift and projects carrier is being paraded by its Japanese owner, K Line, before several mainly German players.
Sources in Germany suggest that talks have been held with several companies and that a deal is close to being agreed with the Leer-based BBC Chartering/Briese Schiffahrt, although its majority shareholder, Roelf Briese, was unable to comment. Other companies including Harren & Partner of Bremen and Hamburg-based, Oaktree Capital-backed Hansa Heavy Lift are also thought to have expressed an interest in SAL.
