On the eve of the annual Cosco World Shipping Summit, at least 10 company officials and outside contacts are said to have been “taken away” this week by Chinese government anti-corruption investigators.
Chinese shipping sources say they learned on Tuesday that two chartering brokers and at least eight Cosco officials — most if not all connected with Cosco Bulk’s capesize chartering and marketing operations — had been rounded up.
