At least eight shipbrokers have submitted applications to the Korea Development Bank (KDB) to win the mandate to sell up to 16 vessels, worth about $300m in total, formerly controlled by collapsed Hanjin Shipping.

Those tracking the sale list the applicants as Clarksons, Fearnleys and Maersk Broker, all of which are offering in independently.

Arrow Shipbroking, Braemar ACM, Howe Robinson and Simpson Spence Young are understood to be bidding in tandem with South Korean partners.

Those
