A pair of Hanjin Shipping containerships are caught in a standoff that has kept them under arrest for more than two months, with efforts to unload one stymied by court wrangling.
At least 11 lawsuits have been filed over the 5,750-teu Hanjin Vienna (built 2000) and 4,660-teu Hanjin Scarlet (built 2013) by several parties seeking to recover bills that went unpaid by the South Korean liner operator, which is undergoing a court restructuring in its home country.
