Kevin Lugg, who turns 54 next month, was one of JLT’s most senior mariners but there is little information in the market about his future plans.

He took on the top role after the departure of Martin St Pierre three years ago — a move attributed to a decision to split responsibility for marine and energy business.

Lugg started with Jardine insurance brokers in 1979 after leaving school at 16 and stayed with the group following its merger with Lloyd Thompson.
