The German line has created a 200-square-metre rink on deck 16 (a height of about 40 metres) of its flagship AidaPrima, which has been formally inaugurated by Holiday on Ice skating duo Salome Casabona Studer and Peter Turner.
Trainers will be on hand to try to help cruise passengers transform from Bambi on ice to Torvill and Dean in seven days.
