International broker Galbraith’s has moved quietly into the financing arena with the formation of a new specialist division called Galbraith’s Financial Ltd.
Dipak Karki, well known to the shipping industry following his 17 years at the Royal Bank of Scotland (RBS), has been recruited to head the freshly formed Financial Advisory & Capital arm.
Karki officially joined Galbraith’s three weeks ago — following a year in which he acted as a consultant for the brokerage — and has begun work to assemble a team at the fledgling venture.
