Andhika Lines of Indonesia has sold its sole tanker for demolition.
The 149,000-dwt Andhika Larasat (built 1991) has been sold “as is” in Singapore for $305 per ldt, or $7.2m, in a rare tanker scrap deal.
The ship was bought from the Onassis group as Olympic Faith in November 2014 for an undisclosed price, believed to be around $12m.
Its sale leaves Andhika with three bulkers, all panamaxes built between 1996 and 1998 that could be demolition candidates soon.
