Established in 2003, the International Bargaining Forum (IBF) is shipping’s largest collective bargaining wage agreement and its terms affect shipowners and managers across the globe.

The employers’ main negotiating body, the Joint Negotiating Group (JNG), involves shipowners and managers represented by the International Maritime Employers’ Council, International Shipping Employers’ Group, International Maritime Managers’ Association of Japan, Korean Shipowners’ Association and Taiwan’s Evergreen.
