Greek owner Ancora Investment  has bought a medium-range (MR) tanker from Norden of Denmark for a firm price as it continues to boost its fleet.

Sources say the CSSC-built, 38,000-dwt Nord Princess (built 2006) has been acquired for $13.5m.

VesselsValue estimates the ship to be worth $11.26m.

It is the first purchase this year for Ancora, which is listed with a fleet of 12 tankers after selling the 8,100-dwt Minitank Five and Minitank Six (both built 2006) to Amoretti of Italy for $8m each in October.
