Investeringsgruppen Danmark (ID Shipping) is looking for new projects after scaling down its fleet from 30 handysizes a few years ago to just six ships.
“We are looking at ships in the secondhand market,” said company chairman Fritz Larsen.
ID Shipping is now concentrating on modern tonnage.
In February, the 27,100-dwt bulker ID Mermaid (built 2001) was sold for $2.1m to Lidmar Shipping & Trading and, in April, the 69,000-dwt bulker Pioneer Atlantic (built 1998) was sold for demolition.
