Sources say the Naikai-built, 38,000-dwt Jin Yu (built 2012) has gone to an undisclosed buyer for $14.4m. The price is firm when compared with the $13.1m VesselsValue has against the bulker.
The sale means Hong Kong and Oslo-listed Jinhui has sold nine bulkers, built since the turn of the millennium, this year. In October, it sold the 76,000-dwt Jin Rui (built 2009) to Hanse Shipping Co for $10.6m
