Sources say the 8,600-dwt sisterships Northsea Alpha and Northsea Beta (both built 2010) are inspectable for potential buyers in Europe.

The duo has been trading in the North Sea Tankers Pool but, currently, they are charter free and could be delivered promptly. The tankers last passed their fifth-year special survey in May and June 2015, respectively.

Pyxis has publicly stated before that the Chinese-built duo does not fit with its business strategy to concentrate and expand in the medium-range (MR) tanker segment.
