Greek shipowner Diamantis Diamantides is believed to have refreshed his bulker and tanker fleets with new tonnage from China’s Jinhai Heavy Industry.
Chatter among shipbrokers suggests Diamantides has picked off a capesize resale at Jinhai at the same time as filling two VLCC slots at the shipyard.
Diamantides-led Marmaras Navigation is said to have paid in the region of $28m for the 180,000-dwt Hull J0131.
