StealthGas has four semi-refrigerated, 22,000-cbm ships on order at Hyundai Mipo Dockyard that were all due for delivery this year. The Harry Vafias-led company ordered the quartet at $52m each and the owner has arranged loans worth $140m to fund the newbuildings from unnamed lenders.
Meanwhile, Petredec has taken two pressurised small LPG ships from StealthGas. The 5,000-cbm Eco Enigma (built 2015) and 4,100-cbm Epic Campbell (built 2001) have both been fixed for a year at a rate likely to be $230,000 per month.
