In response to a survey regarding expectations for the future, including global trade, most shipowners still see opportunities in a tough market, but the major black spot is increasing protectionism.
The panel believes turnover will increase in the coming year despite the global shipping downturn, and that the Danish fleet will also increase.
DSA managing director Anne Steffensen said: “The shipping markets will be dogged by overcapacity for quite a few years, so the task facing shipowners will be to find possibilities in a very difficult market.
