The investment of partners Keung Shek Cheung, Soo Ying Pooi and Wong Hon Chak in domestic Indonesian shipping emerged as a result of legal action in Hong Kong’s High Court that was not previously made public.

A default judgment in favour of Keung, Soo and Wong dates back as far as 2014, and in a ruling last August, the court said that if APOL and subsidiary Grand Bulk Shipping want to appeal, they must pay 70% of the trio’s outstanding $354,000 claim into what is left of profits from a bulker.
