“It’s fair to say the Euronav name is recognised by the banking market,” chief financial officer Hugo De Stoop told TradeWinds.
“That’s not arrogance. It’s a name that’s welcomed by the credit committees. While we were relatively confident in doing the refinancing, we were surprised by being 2.2 times oversubscribed.
“That’s something I’ve rarely seen in my career, but it is reflective of the flight to quality.”
