The 319,000-dwt Leonidas (built 2009) has been fixed at $27,000 per day. The identity of the charterer was unclear when TradeWinds went to press.
Andriaki bought the ship from Metrostar for a steep $97.5m as Crudegulf. Andriaki has one other VLCC, the 309,000-dwt Arion (built 2001).
Maran Tankers Management has rechartered the 306,000-dwt Maran Corona (built 2003) for one more year.
