A 36-year-old protection-and-indemnity (P&I) executive is making a name for himself on the Greek painting scene, successfully combining his shipping profession with a fledgling artistic career.

Piraeus-based Harris Papaspyropoulos, senior claims executive for West of England (Hellas), staged his first personal painting exhibition in December.

Under the artistic pseudonym Caramanos, he displayed 54 of his works at the Municipal Picture Gallery of Piraeus, a neoclassical building in the heart of the Greek port city.
