The 24 insurers of the Siri platform have given notice they will contest a ruling by Copenhagen’s Maritime and Commercial High Court and continue a battle over the Siri platform in Denmark’s Supreme Court.
In a December ruling, the Maritime and Commercial High Court awarded the Norwegian oil company Noreco $383m over cracks in the jack-up platform discovered in 2009. With interest, the award has already reached $475m.
