An affiliate of Germany’s Conti Group is asking a federal court to allow it to sell a containership arrested in the fallout of Hanjin Shipping’s bankruptcy.

Conti 24, the single-ship owner of the 5,750-teu Hanjin Vienna (built 2000), is seeking to appoint UK broker Howe Robinson as sheriff to run a sale of the ship, according to several lawyers with knowledge of cases against the vessel in Vancouver’s Federal Court.
