Managing director Kristian V Morch confirms the cancellation of the last sistership. The others were cancelled last year due to excessive delays.
Odfjell still has four 22,000-cbm ships on order at the yard and Morch says these are also likely to be ditched in due time.
The company has received all instalments, including accrued interest, from the guarantor, while instalments paid on the remaining ships are also secured.
