Small dry bulk player Odysea Carriers has cancelled its operating licence, according to shipping ministry documents released last week.

Signs that all was not well with Odysea appeared early in 2016. The Leonidas Korbetis-led company was then among the quickest Greek players to lay up its vessels.

As TradeWinds reported at the time, Odysea parked two of the three ships it was then managing at the Elefsina anchorage near Piraeus — the 69,100-dwt Okialos (built 1994) and 72,100-dwt Polyneos (built 1997).
