“The e-learning course is designed to help seafarers understand how to create an environment of respect onboard,” said Tineke Bosma, a training development specialist at Marlins, the V.Group unit for training seafarers.

‘Reflect on differences’

The course was developed in collaboration with the Human Rights at Sea charity, whose chief executive, David Hammond, says it uses realistic examples of situations to help seafarers avoid potential causes of conflict.
