New pipelines are creating less need for gasoline cargoes into the US East Coast, hurting demand for medium-range (MR) tankers.

Logistics company Buckeye Pipeline Partners says a new pipeline it finished building late last year has started bringing gasoline eastbound from US Midwest refineries to the mid-Atlantic states.
