In its weekly briefing note, “Poten LNG Shipping Opinion”, the shipbroker and consultant says 28% of the fixtures in 2016 were for the account of energy majors, 26% for projects, 8% for utilities and 1% for shipowners.
The trading houses’ share of the fixtures is up from 27% of the 95 fixtures logged in 2013, indicating that they are expanding their participation as spot trading grows.
