Further signs of strength in the dry cargo market emerged this week amid talk of a Lauritzen Bulkers’ vessel being sold for a punchy price.

Talk among shipbrokers pointed to the 38,200-dwt Milau Bulker (built 2012) changing hands, with a figure of $14.8m placed on the Naikai Zosen Corp-built ship.

Brokers described the reported figure as “very firm”. However, sources close to Lauritzen Bulkers tell TradeWinds that the vessel is not for sale.
