Gener8 Maritime is tipped to have found a buyer for a VLCC newbuilding nearing completion at Hanjin Heavy Industries & Construction (HHIC)’s Subic Bay shipyard.
Talk among shipbrokers is of an $80m-plus deal for the 300,000-dwt Gener8 Nestor, which is slated for delivery this spring.
Shipbroking sources say the vessel has been tied up on subjects by a Hong Kong-based buyer, which is tendering for a five-year time-charter with Unipec.
