State-owned Bangladesh Shipping Corp (BSC) seems to be racing ahead with its fleet expansion and diversification plans, including a focus on boxship acquisitions.
Senior officials at the Chittagong-based company say it is looking to buy up to four containerships ranging from 1,200 teu to 1,500 teu over the next two years.
They say the purchases are likely to involve a mix of secondhand and newbuilding tonnage.
