South Korean shipowners were due to submit offers to state utility Kogas this week to build what looks set to be the country’s first small-scale LNG, bunkering-ready newbuildings.
A deadline expires on 22 March for full specification offers, complete with bid bonds, on two 7,500-cbm LNG carriers to supply the environmentally prized Korean resort of Jeju Island with natural gas for power generation.
