A US fast-food chain plans to build its restaurants out of shipping containers.
Checkers Drive-In Restaurants is looking to roll out one of its first container diners in Michigan, according to the Detroit Free Press. Franchisees in Texas and Florida have also expressed interest.
Parent company Checkers & Rally’s believes the design will lead to stronger franchise profitability and quicker, more environmentally friendly construction.
