“I think maritime is the most interesting place to work in,” DNV GL’s Knut Orbeck-Nilssen told a media gathering when asked about possibilities for the upcoming generation in shipping.
That in itself is no surprise coming from the classification society’s maritime president but he went on to say how the “people-intensive” nature of the industry sets it apart.
He added that possibilities for young people — today’s digital natives — are promising as the move to digital presents a “fantastic opportunity”.
