Shipowners, who are constantly blaming each other and their financiers for creating overcapacity and wrecking the market, may be getting some help in the form of tough love from an unexpected source — the Chinese state-owned shipbuilding sector.

 It will be unwelcome help for some, taking the form as it does of jacking up newbuilding price tags by several million dollars per ship.
