Hapag-Lloyd Cruises (HLC) is almost sold out for its 2018 cruises into Arctic waters.

The company’s 155-passenger vessel Bremen (built 1990) is to sail through the North East Passage from Norway’s Tromso to Nome in Alaska in the summer of 2018 on a 28-day cruise for which passenger will pay upwards of around $25,000 each.

The Bremen’s larger cousin, the 175-passenger Hanseatic (built 1991), is scheduled to spend August and September in the high Arctic, exploring the Northwest Passage around the Northern Canadian Arctic next year before making its final voyage for the company round the coast of Greenland and back to Hamburg in Germany.
