Researchers passionate about their subject are beavering away at maritime technology companies big and small.
One great example is 34-year-old Anders WB Skilbred, a research-and-development chemist at Norwegian coatings giant Jotun.
“I’m a technical person and was always interested in renewable energy,” he said.
His PhD thesis focused on high-temperature corrosion in fuel cells, and from there he joined DNV GL as a corrosion management and protection specialist.
