BW LNG is putting the first of its 11 steam turbine-driven LNG carriers through its 15-year dry-docking — and it is a big job.

Aside from the normal work required for a third special survey, the 138,059-cbm BW Boston (built 2003), which was freshly renamed for the fourth time, is having its Inte­grated Automation Systems (IAS) ­renewed throughout the vessel at Navantia Shiprepairers’ Fene­Ferrol shipyard in northern Spain.
