The acquisition of Orient Overseas Container Line (OOCL) by Cosco Shipping Holdings and the creation of Japanese liner amalgamation One Network Express (ONE) has thrown up some interesting questions over how the new mega companies will divide their shipbuilding businesses.
All of the parties involved have long-standing relationships with shipyards that will now be tested under their respective new ownerships.
