Capesize shipowner RGL Shipping is said to have ordered two kamsarmax bulkers at Chengxi Shipyard.
The shipping arm of Chinese iron ore trader Rui Gang Lian Group is scheduled to take delivery of the vessels from the Jiangyin-based yard in 2019.
A source familiar with RGL confirms the order, although a Chengxi executive says he is unaware of a contract.
