BHP, one of the world’s largest dry bulk charterers, has this week stepped up its drive to move chartering online with a fixture of a capesize coal cargo from Australia to China.
The Australian mining giant told TradeWinds said about 12 shipowners offered vessels in an “energetic” online auction to carry a cargo of metallurgical coal from Hay Point in Queensland to Quindao.
