Oceanbulk Containers chief executive Spyros Capralos insists the Greek company is planning to remain in the containership market despite a rapidly declining presence in the sector.

The shipowner has this week seen two 11,000-teu vessels it had on order at Hanjin Heavy Industries & Construction (HHIC) sold to Hyundai Merchant Marine (HMM).

Following the deal, the Oceanbulk Containers fleet has declined by 11 ships in the past year, with just two modern vessels remaining in its hands.
