George Economou has revealed a vastly enlarged holding in DryShips following a number of transactions linked to transfer of his Heidmar investment to the public company.
DryShips founder Economou now holds 36.36 million shares in the company, giving him a 53.5% slice of the firm.
Based on the present trading price of DryShips stock, the stake is worth almost $89m.
