Symphony Ship Management of Bangladesh has done well on an investment in a handymax it bought last year.
The IHI-built, 48,900-dwt Worldera 2 (built 2001) has been sold to a Chinese buyer for a firm $7.7m. Symphony bought the bulker as Blue Sapphire in July last year for $3.3m.
It is not often that Bangladeshi shipowners raise the eyebrows of the shipping community with their deals.
