German KG ship financing company Conti Reederei reckons the funding of three post-panamax Korean-built containerships for long-term hire to Mediterranean Shipping Company (MSC) will soon be completed.
Conti says the 6,750-teu vessels, together costing over $180m, will go on 16-year charters to MSC at a daily rate split between dollars and euros. They are among 10 newbuildings to be operated by Swiss-based MSC, also responsible for ordering the other seven.
